Improved (natural) performance for Team Sparkasse

Monday 31 July 2006

Technology firm AIRNERGY from Hennef near Bonn is looking to improve the future performance of racing cyclists competing for the Dortmund-based Team Sparkasse – by entirely clean, natural and legal means. The energy filling station developed by the Hennef-based company helps athletes achieve better performances and shorter regeneration times without damaging or unwanted side-effects.

Team Sparkasse is a pioneer in its field. Team Manager Mark Claußmeyer sees preparation using respiratory air as an important way of reaching the very highest level in cycling: “We have been completely won over by this unique, global technology. Because the average aerobic pulse is lowered, our cyclists are training for longer at a higher level of intensity thanks to AIRNERGY. Moreover, regeneration processes are optimised which means that our athletes are able to perform close to their limits as they are able to recover more quickly. They also achieve a much better regeneration in the ensuing competitive stages.”

This German-made technology is already well established in professional performance sport and is highly regarded as a source of “energy from inside” because of the natural effects it produces. Team Sparkasse fits neatly into this category of sport. With 24 victories to date this has been a highly successful season. The team, led by professional German road racing champion, Dirk Müller, is primarily made up of a number of young and dynamic riders as well as some more seasoned athletes. In addition to Dirk Müller, the team can count amongst its number such illustrious names as Mark Cavendish, 2005 world Madison champion and U23 European champion, and Sebastian Frey, German runner-up in the U23 juniors.

New partner AIRNERGY has itself already celebrated some notable successes with its new technology and has established itself in the world of competitive sport, especially in the areas of fitness & wellbeing and medicine. The cooperation which has been agreed between both parties is the logical consequence of combining common synergies for optimal effect. Guido Bierther, spokesman for AIRNERGY Management is delighted at the prospect of future cooperation: “In Team Sparkasse we have found the ideal partner. They are young, dynamic and hungry for success – just like us. I am certain that the team will continue to cause a sensation.” One of the many requirements for this has already been met as in the future athletes in Dortmund will have the stamina and energy they need.
