AIRNERGY starts this season in the Porsche Carrera Cup

Philipp Wlazik chasing points for the AIRNERGY/Land Motorsport team (Hennef, 06 April 2006) The new season of the Porsche Carrera Cup starts this weekend. 31
drivers from 15 teams make this the biggest and strongest starting line-up in the Cup’s seventeen year history. Philipp Wlazik is one of nine up-and-coming drivers who are hoping to prove a match for the "old timers".

From kart racing the 19-year-old moved into the Formula BMW ADAC Championship in 2002 where he celebrated a successful debut, coming third in the Rookie standings. After two years he made the transition to Formula Renault. In 2005 the youngster from Gladbeck switched to the Renault Clio Cup after three races, finishing in the top five each time. At the Nürburgring Wlazik won his first race from pole position to become the youngest ever winner. This year he has advanced to the fastest Cup series in the world. The newcomer starts at number 10 in a 400-bhp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 997) for the AIRNERGY/Land Motorsport team, a collaboration between the AIRNERGY Motorsport and Land Motorsport teams.

The Carrera Cup is the perfect environment for the company based in Hennef since AIRNERGY and Porsche have a great deal in common. Both brands offer high-tech products synonymous with innovation, performance and a hint of exclusivity. This is what makes them so unique worldwide.
This coming weekend Philipp Wlazik expects to be put to the test in Hockenheim. More than 100,000 spectators will line the Grand-Prix circuit for the season’s first race, including his father Karl-Heinz, still regarded as one of the fastest long-distance drivers and not just at the Nürburgring.

Besides their love of motorsport, father and son have for some time had something else in common - AIRNERGY respiratory air. This has not only made them feel fitter and given them more stamina but has also made them much more focused. Characteristics which are particularly important in motorsport and which 19-year-old Philipp also has in abundance. His success to date speaks for itself.
